Bass Tab Creator
Write bass tab by clicking a fretboard. Play it back, share it by link and export it to PDF, with no account needed.
Built with React, JavaScript, Web Audio, jsPDF, Vercel

What it is
A tab editor built around the instrument instead of a text box. Click any fret on the neck and the note lands in the tab at the cursor. It supports 4-, 5- and 6-string basses in standard, drop and down tunings.
Features
- Writing: chords and double stops, ghost notes, harmonics, and per-string techniques (hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, bends, slap, pop, palm mute). Bar lines, section labels and repeat counts. Undo and redo.
- Playing: playback at the song’s tempo with the current note highlighted, scale overlays on the fretboard, note names instead of fret numbers, and a left-handed mirrored neck.
- Sharing: copy as plain text for forums, import tab pasted from anywhere, export as PNG or multi-page PDF, or share a link that contains the whole tab, so there’s nothing to store server-side.
How it’s built
- A React single-page app with no backend. Tabs are saved in the browser, and share links encode the tab in the URL itself.
- Note playback uses the Web Audio API, and exports are rendered with html2canvas and jsPDF.
